About the Club

Our club first opened in 1963

First open for use in 1963, the Jindalee Golf Club was officially formed in 1967 and has grown to become the community hub of the Centenary suburbs.

The Jindalee Golf Course is located just 15 kilometres from Brisbane CBD and sits on land owned by Brisbane City Council. The course was designed by Mr T Southcombe on what was a combination of farmland and bushland. On Saturday 21st February 1970, the course was officially opened by The Hon. J. D. Herbert, minister for Labour and Tourism, with the Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Alderman Clem Jones, having the honour of driving the first ball to officially open the course.

As a not for profit organisation any revenue made is put back into the community by improving the services and facilities at the club. The Jindalee Golf Club has a history of strong volunteer involvement by its members, who strive to continually improve the course and clubhouse to make it a welcoming environment for all golf and social guests.

The golf course and club house have a strong connection with local, state and federal representatives who represent the Centenary suburbs, with many hosting annual events at the club. The club is also available to local community groups to host meetings and events, if you are part of a local organisation and would like to contact the club you can email to This email address is being protected from spambots. With over 1,000 social members and 300 golf members the club is a venue for people to meet and enjoy the facility without needing golf membership. The strong membership base acts as an incubator for local small business to network, as well as recommend and refer business services.

Our Committee

As a not for profit organisation, the Jindalee Golf Club relies on the hard work of the voluntary committees of the day, as well as many club members.

Our club members and supporters regularly assist grounds staff whenever required, volunteering their time and participating in working bees.

Most of these members were unsung heroes but some have gone extra mile and have been nominated and then selected to become 'Life Members' for the extraordinary service they gave for the benefit of all JGC members.
